Fallout Media is helmed by Edwin Lee, a self-taught filmmaker who picked up his first camcorder at age 16 and won first prize at a regional school film festival. Born in Ireland and now living in Hong Kong, he opted for a career in journalism spanning TV broadcast, print and online multimedia news gathering. He has since returned to his filmmaking roots and seeks to expand his horizons in cinematography, paralleled with unique and meaningful story-telling.

Film making and creative energies can also be channelled for charitable and social causes. Since 2012, Edwin has produced several pro-bono projects for charities and has now gone on to co-found his own NGO, Sight to Sky. He also acts as the NGO's Media Director, producing and managing visual content.

Sight To Sky

Sight to Sky was co-founded by Fallout's director Edwin, along with three women from Singapore. Their goal is to bring low cost, high impact primary healthcare to remote mountain communities in the Himalayas. They also seek to bring volunteers from all walks of life to join their missions and change the lives of others.

The Chain Reaction Project

Edwin has been a long-time partner of The Chain Reaction Project (TCRP). Based in Singapore, TCRP uses travel and adventure to raise money and bring people closer to charities around Asia. Since their first collaboration in 2012, Fallout Media has produced 6 video projects to document TCRP's missions across Asia. TCRP then uses the videos to promote their adopted causes further and entice more donors and participants to join on future trips.

For Good

For Good is a social enterprise based in Hong Kong that aims to raise awareness of multiple NGOs across the city. In 2015, the For Good Film Project was launched to pair independent filmmakers with local NGOs and produce films and videos to promote social issues. In Edwin Lee's case, he worked with Hong Kong Clean Up to produce a short film to highlight the plight of rubbish affecting Hong Kong's coastlines. This was screened at the For Good Film Festival and Film List & Program 2015 - Ocean Recovery Alliance.
